The Pattern Session

These terms govern your booking and participation in The Pattern Session, a reflective mapping service offered by Daniel Fenton ("I", "me") operating as Daniel Fenton Art.
By booking a session you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
01 What The Pattern Session Is and Is Not
The Pattern Session is a 60-minute one-to-one reflective mapping conversation conducted via video call (Google Meet). During the session I listen deeply to what you share, identify the underlying structure and patterns in your situation, and reflect them back as a live visual map built in real time.
You leave with clarity on where you are and what is wanting to move, not advice, not a prescription, not a diagnosis.
The Pattern Session is not therapy, counselling, psychotherapy, medical treatment, or professional mental health care. It is not a substitute for any of these. I am not a licensed therapist, counsellor, or medical professional. I do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or provide clinical interventions. If at any point I believe you may benefit from professional support beyond what this session offers, I will say so openly and encourage you to seek appropriate help.
02 Booking & Payment
Sessions are booked in advance by mutual agreement. The current session fee is displayed on the booking page at the time of purchase. Payment is required in full at the time of booking to confirm your session.
All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. I reserve the right to change the session fee at any time, though any change will not affect sessions already booked and paid for.
03 Your Right to Cancel (Distance Selling)
Because The Pattern Session is a service purchased at a distance (online), you have the right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel your booking within 14 calendar days of making payment, without giving any reason, for a full refund.
If you have requested that the session take place within this 14-day cooling-off period and you have expressly consented to the service beginning before the cancellation period ends, you acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once the session has been delivered. If you cancel after the session has started but before it is complete, you may be charged a proportionate amount for the service already provided.
To exercise your right to cancel, contact me in writing at the email address below with a clear statement of your decision. I will process your refund within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice using the same payment method you used for the original transaction.
04 Rescheduling & Late Cancellation
Life happens. If you need to reschedule, please give me at least 48 hours' notice before your session time and I will find a new slot at no extra cost.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or no-shows on the day, will be treated as a completed session and no refund will be offered. This is separate from your statutory cancellation rights described above, which apply only before the service has commenced.
If I need to reschedule for any reason, I will give you as much notice as possible and offer you the next available slot or a full refund, your choice.
05 The Session & Deliverable
Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes and is conducted via video call on a platform agreed in advance (Google Meet). You are responsible for ensuring you have a stable internet connection, a private space, and a working camera and microphone.
Following the session, you will receive a PDF deliverable within 24 hours containing your Pattern Map and 2–3 written observations. This is sent to the email address you provide at booking.
If technical issues on my side prevent the session from being completed, I will reschedule at no cost or offer a full refund.
06 Confidentiality
Everything you share in a Pattern Session is treated as confidential. I will not disclose anything from our conversation to any third party without your explicit written consent.
The only exceptions to this are situations where I reasonably believe there is an imminent risk of serious harm to you or to another person, or where disclosure is required by law.
Sessions are not recorded by me. If you wish to record the session for your own personal reference, please let me know in advance so we can discuss this.
07 Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and outcomes. The Pattern Session is a reflective process, it holds up a mirror, it does not tell you what to do. Any action you take following a session is entirely your own choice and responsibility.
By booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that you are entering into this agreement voluntarily.
If you are currently receiving treatment for a mental health condition, I encourage you to let your treating professional know that you are participating in this service. The Pattern Session is designed to complement professional support, not replace it.
08 Intellectual Property
The Pattern Session methodology, the four-quadrant framework, the Pattern Map format, and all associated materials are the intellectual property of Daniel Fenton.
Your Pattern Map deliverable is created for your personal use. You may share it privately, but you may not reproduce, resell, or commercially distribute the methodology, framework, or deliverable format without written permission.
Your words remain your words. I will never use your name, story, or identifying details in any marketing or content without your explicit consent.
